Increasing rainfall rates can outstrip Chicago's stormwater system, forcing sewage into the precious freshwater of Lake Michigan. The city also has dangerously old lead pipes in need of replacement. In the winter, climate change means the lake doesn't freeze as often, allowing storms to erode the shores.

Two lakeside events, back to back on Monday, July 27. At 4 PM, Uncle Pappy takes the plunge into Lake Michigan - we’re capping this at 40 spots, so REQUEST TO JOIN soon.
