The Colorado River begins as snowmelt in the mountains of Utah. Every drop diverted or evaporated upstream is a drop that doesn't reach the farms, cities, and tribal nations that depend on it 1,500 miles downstream. Trout Unlimited and local landowners are restoring stream flows and rebuilding beaver populations in the headwaters — small interventions that add up across a basin.
