Welcome to the arid Badlands region, the very place where conservationist and cowboy Teddy Roosevelt came to find himself after personal tragedy. He spent many seasons here, and now this place stands as a symbol for the nationwide conservation he helped initiate. Tomorrow, on our nation’s 250th Anniversary, the next 250 years of American conservation will be at the forefront.
