As the Salton Sea shrinks, it exposes a toxic lakebed releasing arsenic-laced dust into the air of the surrounding communities — some of the lowest-income zip codes in the state. The Red Hill Bay wetlands restoration is rebuilding habitat on the exposed lakebed, but it's a small fix against a very large problem.
