Drought

  • Water Story

The massive lake is shrinking at an alarming rate due to prolonged drought and years of excessive overuse. ~70% of the water goes to alfalfa & hay farms, golf courses, and household lawns. If too much water is taken, it threatens local ecosystems and would expose a dry lakebed, releasing toxic dust into the air.

Pappy's starting this one in the sky, taking a flight over the Great Salt Lake to see just how much of the lake has disappeared. Then he's coming back down to walk out on the exposed lakebed at Antelope Island with scientists and locals who’ve watched it change over the years.

Meet Pappy at Antelope Island that evening for a sunset hike up Buffalo Point -  then stick around for a star party at White Rock Bay, with the van parked waiting for your signature. RVSP FOR FREE HERE
